About David Grojean

“I have committed myself fully to the art of painting for the last 20 years. It is my poetry. Through the ages, man has striven to go beyond the limits of the immediate physical world to create that which was not there before and thus nourish and exhilarate the human spirit. Our first record of man’s perception of the world around him was through art scratched on cave walls, carved in stone, or molded in clay. Man’s need to make, experience, and comprehend art is as profound as his need to speak. It is through art that we can understand ourselves and our potential. And it is through art, that we will be understood and remembered, by those who come after us.”

After two years in the Marines, David Grojean attended the American University in Washington, D.C., where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic Design. Deciding against a career in design, he attended graduate school in Boulder. In the Spring of 1977, he received his Master of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Colorado and committed himself fully to the art of painting.

David Grojean’s work is presently shown in galleries throughout the Western United States, Canada, and Europe.
